Preparation, Recognition and Management
of Medical Emergencies: A Clinical Perspective
7 CEU's
Has your office ever experienced an emergency?
Is a problem pending due to inadequate patient evaluation?
Standards of Care dictate that ALL offices be prepared!
This multifaceted program is designed for ALL practice types and the
entire staff with information to be utilized everyday.
Thorough medical evaluation and good, everyday patient management
principles will be a strong focus while assessing patient risk and potential
emergencies. Unique to this program
is the presentation of
actual
taped emergencies and patient interviews.
You will actually feel as if you are in the middle of the situation,
experiencing the emergency (without having to be there).
Following each segment is the management of the particular emergency presented
in a simple, “what really matters to keep the patient safe” approach.
Included are other important aspects of emergency preparedness such as
practice sessions, and the emergency kit, components, and utilization
Additionally, important everyday Standards of Care issues such as the
medical history components, vital signs, medical consultations, etc. will be
addressed. Even if you never
experience an emergency, this course will provide valuable information for
everyday practice. Such is the
title; a Clinical Perspective since your presenter is an experienced, practicing
clinician.
Dr Canfield
utilizes an “Interactive Audience Response System” so that you actually get to
answer how you would respond or handle a situation with a hand held device like
used on TV for talk shows or game shows.
