Requirements:

• Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in the State of Montana.
• Strong knowledge of infection control systems and medical terminology relevant to dental care.
• Familiarity with pediatric hygiene is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a dental clinic environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Anesthesia licensure is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

He/she will educate patients on oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take and develop diagnosable X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants accurately. By discovering and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, he or she facilitates the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
• Assess patients’ oral health by taking vital signs and recording medical histories.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment plans using Oryx software
•  Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office.
•  Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
•  Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in patient care.

Experience:

•  Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting is preferred.
•  Knowledge and use of Airflow equipment preferred (guided biofilm therapy)
•  Familiarity with dental software systems is advantageous.
•  Knowledge of medical terminology and record-keeping practices is essential.
• Understanding of infection control measures within a clinical environment is required.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health are necessary.

Schedule:

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
• Hours: 6:30am-3:30pm(M-W) 7:00am-2:00pm(Th).
• Patients per Day: 6–7 patients, scheduled for 60-80 minutes each
• Up to 8 weeks Paid Time Off (after probationary period)
